Can I drink the water?
    Mexico has an extensive water purification system but, no one drinks the water from the tap. Bottled water is readily available at all restaurants, Hotels and grocery stores. 
    There is no problem brushing your teeth using the tap water and don't worry if you swallow a bit in the shower. Nine times out of ten the dreaded "tourista" is causes by too much sun and overindulging during "Happy Hour" and too few glasses of water to keep you hydrated. Use common sense and be sure to drink lots of bottled water!
 
Which documents should I bring??
    Your Travel Documents
     To enter Mexico you will need to present a valid passport or your birth certificate with embossed seal. You will also need a Mexican Tourist Card which you will be given at the airport when you check in or on the plane.
    You will be required to present the card when you depart Mexico. A good idea which is not required, would be to bring an additional Id (i.e. Diver's license).
 
What Should I Wear??
    Basic summer clothes. Be sure to bring a light jacket or sweater, it can get a bit chilly at night. It is very casual, t-shirts and shorts are fine anywhere, but you might want to bring something dressier for evening. suntan lotion, a travel size mosquito repellent, and your toiletry items.
 
Where can I exchange money??
    Us Dollars are easily exchanged into pesos in bans, major hotels, airports and exchange houses. Mexican banks are generally open from 9am to 4 pm. Exchange houses are open longer and offer quicker service. Most credit cards are accepted in shops, hotels and travel agencies.
    Major purchases are best made with a credit card, because you automatically receive the banks rate of exchange, which is higher than the rates given in town or at the hotels
 
 
Medical Facilities??
    Mexico has a nationalized healthcare system and almost every town and city has either a national hospital or medical clinic.
